I have a rather wonky video that didn't quite record right in MythTV and I want to convert it into DVD mpg and from that into avi. I had to extract the audio from the video and then redo the audio forcing the demuxer to be PCM, then put it in audacity and set it for the right length. Now I want to do about the same thing with the video, and set the fps to be total number of frames / total seconds. So far about all I can figure is playing the video as fast as I can with -vo null and keeping an eye on the command line.

Any ideas on getting the total number of frames in a video?
