Topic - detect lost connection

Topic Starter arnold - Posted on Wednesday, October 1 2008 09:56:11 AM: I am recording multiple radio streams 24 hours a day using mplayer. It works great until no more data is received, where mplayer hangs/idles waiting for more
data. Is there a clean way to do something about these connection drops and for example have mplayer restart automatically? Caching does not provide a solution here.
