Topic - playing a strream of data in mplayer using C

I am newbie to MPlayer. I need to play a buffer of data in mplayer. For eg I am having a buffer array in C program like Buffer[1024] which consists of video data. I need to play this buffer data in mplayer. I want to play this data buffer in player.
How to accomplish this .
please do needful!
If any sample available ??
