Hi!

I got a problem:
When I encode from my webcam using mencoder (which does not react on -tv fps option), the fps is variable depending on exposure.
So, when I use -fps/-ofps options (and without -fps it crashes with: Floating point exception), the encoder stores frames to fit exactly to given fps, and resulting avi is sometimes too fast or too slow.
The average fps is shown during encoding and it's about 8fps in my current exposure.

I need video to be encoded at 24 fps with some option to duplicate/drop the frames of that 8fps (or any) to fit in realtime.
Please tell me how to do this.

Thanks,
Taras
