Topic - Smooth change between videos in a playlist

I have a playlist with all the videos coded with xvid and the same encoding options.

When I play them there is a weird "glitch", the screen goes green and do strange things (the mouse cursor shows and goes away again) and then the next video goes on. This lasts for less than a second, but it is pretty anoying since I am playing a lot of short videos. They are played in full screen and above everything.

Is there a way to make a smooth change between videos ? A fade off and fade on or anything like that ?

I have searched through google but couldn't find anything.
